I've been collecting eggs since I took a Ukrainian egg workshop when we lived in Iowa. They do take patience! I have eight that I made and the one with the tulip, the black one with pinkish lines I bought. The rust colored one with kind of a quilt style design I made for the workshop I'm doing at the Center this week. Maybe next year I'll try to do the workshop on the Ukrainian eggs.

Wow! Real treasures, you've got a great collection going there. Are they hens' eggs or ducks' eggs that you've blown?
That quilt one seems to fit right in with the Center atmosphere. Sounds like a great class and bringing some unique creative techniques to share. And so appropriate with Easter coming!
Sounds like fun yet challenging!
They are beautiful!
These are just grocery store eggs! And some are blown out and some are not. They cant be blown out until they are finished so they will siink into the dye. If they are not blown out you have to store them in a place where IF they explode they won't damage anything. You can't jostle them around til the inside has hardened. One I bought last year must have had a small crack and wow the smell was terrible. Haven't thrown it out yet, hated to give up on it too soon.
