Trip to N. Carolina

The deck looking out on the golf course. What a beautiful view it was. We'll miss this home but so glad it sold and no more worries about that. I'll miss the Rufus sided Towhee and his "cup-of-teeee" call. And the smell of the White pines surrounding the house. We won't miss the 5-7 minute drive all the way around the golf course to get to the house. Mom's in a wonderful independant living center with lots of friends and activities that she enjoys so much!

Mom's house sold! We may look like we were relaxing, but it was a busy time getting everything cleaned out of the rooms that were left. We'd worked quite a bit in the last year, but there was still more to finish up.

The boxes are slides from many trips. Still have to view some of them to see which ones we'll keep.

Trip to Grand Rapids

Marsh and Emily's new house. Went to help out on the retaining wall in back yard. Emily has eight Aunts, three of which came to visit with her Mom on one day.

Visit to Omaha's Old Market

We traveled to Omaha, Nebraska for a family reunion and hubby made time for us to visit this unique spot where the old factories had been restored and made into shops. Lots of art galleries and boutiques. It was a hot day though!

Dragonfly collage sold!

On my April 21st post there is a photo of a collage I made in Laura's collage class with a dragonfly. It's currently in a show called "Things with Wings" in the Vogt Visual Arts building in Tinley Park until July. I just found out it sold! One of my first sales in an art studio show!! I didn't even have time to frame it so it's just matted in a white mat. Can't wait to find out who bought it!

New Computor

I haven't posted in so long-life got busy but also the old computor died and now with the new one, I have to learn and experiment all over to post photos etc. so hope you have patience with me. And until hubby gets the photos from the old computor, I don't have them either! I'll get to it again soon hopefully!
Right now I have about 14 of my pieces of calligraphy, watercolor and collage in the Palos Park library until July 1st. And in Tinley Park at the Vogt Art Center I have one collage. I'm teaching a Coptic Book workshop two Mondays, which started yesterday with four in the class.
Last Sat. was the Art Show in Frankfort which went well.
