Trout Lilys at the Center

Calligraphy show at ILL Benedictine University

I tried to cut and paste, but no luck! Guess that's not possible on the blog.
So the show is at Illinois Benedictine Univ -works of the lettering students there and included is the work of our "Study Group" that meets there. We dropped off work today and I noticed even Tim Botts has some pieces in the show!! He also has a phenomenal show at Wheaton College- at the Billy Graham Center!!!
The show runs from May 2-31 with the reception tomorrow, May 2 from 1-4, for any of you who are interested. The work has illustration too and what we saw today is well worth seeing!!

I also dropped off work at the Vogt Art Center in Tinley Park as they are having an art show with the Town and Country Art League. The show dates are May 4th - 28th with the reception next Friday, the 7th from 7-9:00. There will be quite a variety of artwork there. Address:
1/2 block east of Oak Park Ave, at 174th St. Hours, call 708-614-6503 or 708-309-4371.

I put most of the photos of the workshop on my other penandpaintsartwork blog.

New Workshop with Denis Brown!

Sunday starts the 3 day Celtic Art workshop at the Irish Heritage Center in Chicago with Denis Brown. They were afraid he wouldn't make the flight from Ireland with the volcano problems, but I heard it's a go. Hope to have photos to post later! Tomorrow is also his workshop where 50 have signed up, beginners as well as intermediate students. Fun fun fun!

Pictures from the Collage Workshop

I posted photos on my art blog of my beautiful papers from Laura's workshop which you can get to under my profile. Somehow I can't get the post at the top to forward to it.

Toby, the Daschund, found friends in the pool!

Mandy's dog spotted these ducks in the pool! They've been returning every morning! He scared them away the first time, but I've convinced Toby not to bark at them- too much.
