Calligraphy "Perfomance" at the Newberry Library

This was a huge sheet of paper and the artists worked to music, each adding their work with various tools. The artists were, Tim Botts, Julie Wildman, Karen Brooks, Pam Paulsrud, and Anne Binder.

You can see how diverse the work is in the show. Lettering can be gestural as well as very meticulous. And backgrounds include collage and different types of paint.
